I have a problem.

I LOVE FOOD! All food and especially treats. I always have to have something sweet at the end of every meal. I have struggled with this problem most my life and have tried numerous ways to help myself overcome, however, I always seem to fail.
My favorite time to indulge in my sin is while the boys are both napping and the house is quiet and I can really enjoy what I'm eating. Or at night. Kev can attest that many nights I get a need for sweets. I have done better on this though, since nighttime eating doesn't agree with my weight plan. (I seemed to add a 'few' pounds when we were first married due to late dinners)
I run, and I like to run, but I also HAVE to run because of my bad habit. Perhaps if this weren't such a struggle I might lose weight, instead of maintain. That's a crazy concept!
If anyone has any tips or tricks on how I can beat this, please share!

Paint your fingernails...it will keep your hands busy! Also, try hard candy. You can't eat it fast, it's relatively low in calories, and it curbs the sweet tooth. Or a great protein shake smoothie with fresh fruit...mmmm!

I too have the same problem! I can't tell you how many times I have put the kids to bed and had Craig go and get a shake or just find something yummy in our house! I'm afraid my kids have inherited the same problem! I think you look beautiful though! You are better than I am with the running thing! I will go walking but the running kills my knees and back! My theory is, that the excercising is counter acting whatever you eat! I know it's not true but it helps me feel better as I am downing the treats! Sorry for the novel!

Apparently, I have the EXACT same problem, in fact, I just finished baking chocolate chip cookies! I don't know what to tell you, but I will keep checking back to see the advice that you get from others, as I definitely need it. My problem is that I like treats ANYTIME, not just in the evenings! Ugh!!

I like your new background, it is so cute. That little plate of cookies and milk looks harmless! No tips from me...I made cookies, cake, and bought treats this week. We can have a problem together!

If you deny yourself completely of the stuff you crave then eventually you are going to snap and eat 20 cookies at once. My suggestion is to become your friends' and family's favorite person. If you are craving cookies then make a batch. Eat one or two and give the rest away. I wouldn't do it everyday, but 1 or 2 cookies won't kill you. What will kill the diet is when you sit down and eat 3,4,5,6,7 etc.

You are singing to the choir!! I have the exact problem, but I can't run because I have a very strict rule that I only run when being chased. I also have another problem, I am a really, I mean really great baker!! To the point where I have been told by many people that I should open my own bakery. SO, here is my only suggetion...

I think that Dave has is going on. Who really wants to live without sweets, NO ONE!! So, I bake all the time. I mean I go through 25 lbs. of flour a month!! However, I give it all away. I eat one or two, save a couple for my kids and then I give it all away. Don't believe me ask my neighbors and friends, the lucky receipients of all my goodies!

The bottom line, you are beautiful just the way you are and there is nothing wrong with maintaining the statis quo. Kevin loves you for you, not for what size pants you wear. Remember that.

I wish I had answers. I have the same problem. To make things worse I Started decorating cakes and I can't have cake with ice cream. I am always eating junk. Sunday is my treat day. I always make cookies, brownies, rice krispie treats, or something for fun and they are typically gone within just a few days. I don't run though so I really have a problem.
