What we've been up to lately

Ty thinks anything new is amazing. He quickly attaches to everything, from new clothes to new toys to... new chairs.
We bought a few of these camping chairs to have for outside or campouts or whatever. Ty claimed one and then took it everywhere, including to bed and the kitchen table. He'd tote it around and open it whenever he felt the need to sit.

Ty and Jordo set up a 'meeting' with their chairs and then would pack up and head somewhere else. I love that he loves life. I hope he continues to love, even the little things, as he gets older.

Brooke is, besides bald in the back, fascinated with everything her brothers are doing. Lately, to keep her happy I have to put her jumper in their doorway so she can watch them play while I cook or try to get things done.

Here's that cute face! This was the best shot I could get. All the others were blurry since she was bouncing all over the place.

Sweet Sleepers and Lovin' the Dirt

Here are few pictures of my adorable kids. I love watching them grow up and seeing the fun things they come up with!

Here's Jordo fast asleep. He does this thing with the stuff he takes to bed. He likes to tuck them into the boards on the top bunk. We aren't sure why, but I think it's so cute.

Sorry for the bright picture, I left the flash on, but she stayed asleep. Isn't she perfect? I went to check on little Brookie before I went to bed and she just looked so stinking adorable I had to take this cute picture. I really can't get enough of her.

With the warm days we have tried to be outside as much as possible. If Ty and Jordo aren't kicking a ball, they want to be digging in the dirt. And they picked the day they got pictures so they were both in white shirts. At least they bleach, right?

Jordo's face was covered with dirt. I tried, but the lighting just wasn't working out. But this is still a great picture of his cute little face. Hooray for spring!!

So I've decided to start up a recipe blog. I love cooking, baking and trying new recipes so why not document my finds! It won't be anything special. I'm really not that great with a camera and have numerous mishaps in my kitchen but here goes nothing.

Simple and Satisfying

Not a moment to spare

I finally decided to put Brooke through the effort of getting her blessing dress on again and take pictures. Good thing I did, since I don't know if it would have fit her tomorrow.

I made this dress for Young Women in Excellence when I was 15. And there it sat for 12 years until I was finally blessed with a beautiful baby girl to wear it. It was so fun to be able to use it.

If her feet had gotten any bigger I wouldn't of been able to snap this cute shot.

So she's a bit bigger than the day we blessed her, more than a month ago. She's almost sitting up on her own and is so smiley.

I had to put this one on. I LOVE it when she smiles so big her face squishes.

And...for more of a Brooke update...

She did it! I know in a few days she'll be rolling all over the house.

She's growing up too fast!

Happy Easter

Here are some highlights of our Easter weekend.

Gotta have an egg hunt.

Ty knew to look here cause he had just watched his dad find one here on home videos.

Here's the whole egg finding crew. It's always fun to have the Garlocks around to play. (Ben's hiding behind Jordo) We sure missed Allie though.

This is the second generation to hunt this cul-de-sac. Kev and his siblings grew up doing this same traditional neighborhood egg hunt too.

Here's our Easter morning!

We got mostly springtime outside things, like bubbles and 'banana ball'. (The scoop ball toss between the baskets, Ty gets all the credit for calling it that) And like most of you, we couldn't play with any of it do to the awesome two inches of snow we got. UGH!

Here's little Brookie with her fun basket. Diapers and chocolates for mom!

And here's Brooke again and she is so close to rolling over! She sure gets around just by arching and wiggling. It's so fun to see her start to move and play.
